George & John by Head Chef Tomer Tal was voted for the third time as one of the 50 best restaurants in the Middle East & North Africa’s 50 best restaurants 2024 awards.

Beginning 2023, the restaurant is a member of the prestigious international organization Relais & Chateaux.

In the organization, founded in 1954, there are 580 members, all hotels and restaurants, our of which 340 members, spread over five continents, were awarded a michlin star.

The George & John’s private room is situated in a historic location, previously used as the wine and beverage storage of the original Jerusalem hotel where Mark Twain would visit and write his memoirs during his visit to Palestine. The room contains a spacious knights table and a lounge area, which both face the kitchen so you can get a glimpse of the dedication and passion of Head Chef Tomer Tal and his team.

“My new location and the proximity to the sea is a huge source of inspiration for me. The sea is a ‘supplier’ that surprises me daily and is endless. I like a clean plate, allowing the raw materials to speak for themselves without much manipulation”.
